Sheriff Projects x IFM: Supporting the Next Generation of Fashion Image Makers

The Institut Français de la Mode (IFM) is one of the world’s leading fashion schools, renowned for nurturing creative talent and promoting inclusion and social openness within the fashion industry. Since 1994, the IFM Foundation has supported students through scholarships based on social criteria.

Since 2021, Sheriff Projects has proudly partnered with IFM through its Mycelium Project program, a unique initiative designed to provide students with hands-on experience in image-related professions. Our partnership focuses on supporting students by offering dedicated workshops at our offices. These sessions aim to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and professional practice, helping students gain practical skills, industry insight, and creative inspiration.

Over the past few weeks, we have hosted two workshops focused on photo and video post-production, giving students a behind-the-scenes look at the technical and artistic processes that shape fashion imagery.

The photo post-production workshop introduced students to the intricacies of professional retouching and visual construction. Participants explored the collaborative relationship between photographers and retouchers, discovering how creative and technical decisions impact a project’s overall aesthetic. Through case studies of emblematic projects and live demonstrations in Photoshop, students learned essential tools and techniques for creating a coherent visual identity across a series of images.

The video post-production workshop offered a comprehensive overview of the full workflow, from production planning to post-production delivery. Students learned about the key roles involved (editors, colorists, and directors) and how these professionals collaborate to shape a film’s creative identity. The workshop included live editing and color grading demonstrations, highlighting techniques for maintaining visual consistency, accurate skin tones, and fabric rendering. By examining real fashion projects, students gained insight into the artistic and technical considerations that define high-quality fashion video content.

Through these workshops, Sheriff Projects aims to support IFM students in developing both their technical expertise and creative vision. We are proud to contribute to the education of the next generation of fashion professionals, offering them a window into the practical realities of image-making and the collaborative processes that bring fashion stories to life.

Sheriff Projects × Villa Noailles: Supporting Emerging Photographers at the 40th Hyères Festival

For the fourth consecutive year, Sheriff Projects is proud to stand alongside the Villa Noailles as an official production partner for the 40th edition of the International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories – Hyères, which took place from October 16 to 18, 2025.

Since its foundation in 1986, the Hyères Festival has become one of the most prestigious platforms in the world dedicated to emerging artistic creation. Each year, it highlights new voices in fashion design, photography, and contemporary art, offering young creators the opportunity to present their work to an international audience of curators, collectors, and professionals. Rooted in the historic setting of the Villa Noailles, the festival has built a legacy of innovation and creativity, bridging the worlds of artistic experimentation and fine craftsmanship.

Within this inspiring environment, Sheriff Projects Art Lab brings its recognized expertise in fine art printing, image production, and high-end post-production to the service of the Photography Competition. Our collaboration with the festival embodies our shared commitment to supporting young photographers and amplifying their creative voices on the global art scene.

As part of this long-term partnership, Sheriff Projects is entrusted with producing the Fine Art exhibition prints for the ten finalists in the photography category. This collaboration goes far beyond technical execution, it is a creative dialogue. From art direction and print consulting to paper selection, color calibration, and precision printing, every stage of the process is carried out with exceptional attention to detail. Our approach combines technical excellence, artistic sensitivity, and museum-grade craftsmanship, ensuring that each print fully reflects the photographer’s artistic intent and visual language.

Every image is treated as a unique artwork, carefully transformed into a tangible, lasting piece through archival-quality Fine Art printing. This meticulous process allows the photographs to retain their depth, color integrity, and emotional resonance when presented in the exhibitions held at Hyères. The resulting works will be showcased as part of the 7L Photography Grand Jury Prize, the American Vintage Photography Prize, and the Ville d’Hyères Public Prize, celebrating the most promising talents of contemporary photography.

Through this partnership, Sheriff Projects reaffirms its commitment to art, innovation, and creative excellence. Our mission is to empower new generations of photographers by giving them the tools, expertise, and visibility needed to bring their visions to life. Beyond production, we see ourselves as active contributors to the ecosystem of contemporary photographic creation, building bridges between artists, institutions, and audiences.

By uniting technical mastery, artistic dialogue, and a deep passion for photography, Sheriff Projects continues to play a meaningful role in shaping the future of Fine Art printing and visual creation. Together with the Villa Noailles and the Hyères Festival, we celebrate the energy, diversity, and inventiveness of today’s young photographers, and the powerful stories they tell through their images.

Sheriff Projects and CE3P: a partnership to train the future talents of professional photography

The CE3P (Centre for Teaching and Improvement of Professional Photography) prepares its students for professional diplomas such as the French BAC and BTS in photography. Recognized for its expertise, it has become an essential partner of Sheriff Projects: many of its alumni have joined the company as interns or employees, highlighting the relevance of this strong link between education and the professional world.

Sheriff Projects, a specialist in photography and visual production, supports creative professionals with a complete range of services: rental of high-end photography equipment, fully equipped photo studios in Paris, professional photo retouching for advertising and e-commerce, video post-production, and fine art printing. By collaborating with CE3P, the company provides students with a concrete understanding of fashion and luxury photography careers, while immersing them in the daily reality of professional production studios.

In 2021, Sheriff Projects strengthened this collaboration by offering BTS students an introduction to the photographic chain, specifically designed for the creation of fashion and luxury images. This partnership began with a tour of the facilities, giving students the opportunity to discover the full range of services: still life studio, fashion studio, technical workshop, fine art service for art photography printing, and the dedicated areas for advertising and e-commerce photo retouching.

Students were able to handle state-of-the-art professional photography equipment, often unavailable within schools, and take part in a hands-on photo shoot. They then deepened their knowledge of photo retouching and post-production techniques, gaining insight into the requirements of images created for fashion brands and advertising campaigns.

In addition, CE3P regularly organizes conferences in which Sheriff Projects’ teams (photographers, retouchers, producers) share their expertise and present different photo and video production projects. These exchanges allow students to better understand the diversity of careers in professional photography: shooting, production management, post-production, and technical support.

The partnership goes beyond skills transmission: Sheriff Projects also supports the school through an apprenticeship grant. The collaboration also includes networking with alumni: during the immersion week of the new BTS class, a former student, now a producer within the company, returned to present his career path and share his professional experience in photo and video production.

New collaborative projects are already being considered, always with the aim of strengthening the bridge between education and professional practice. The partnership between Sheriff Projects and CE3P reflects a shared commitment to training the next generation of photography professionals, by giving them access to professional photo equipment, state-of-the-art studios, and expertise in photo retouching and post-production.
